Phase One

MONKEY AND SAGE:
Freedom of Relating with Autonomy

Markings One to Six

In Monkey One, "Isolation," Monkey is trapped in reactive thinking without autonomy. A Sage appears in Marking Two, "Duality," and offers Monkey nirvana (not-thinking) as a touchstone for thinking with full autonomy.

With some hesitation, Monkey agrees to embark on a journey with Sage, in order to examine craving and reactive thinking.

At Marking Six, "Unconditonal Relaxation," the active ground of nirvana illuminates expressive activity, initiating a shift in the journey from relating with autonomy to relating with aloneness as the Cultivator.

home

Based on a Taoist transmission of nonduality by Charles Belyea and Steven Tainer, Free and Easy Wandering is a journey of awakening, in and through the reason of emptiness, that takes place in twelve stages and three phases from the isolation of misguided grasping in Marking One to the freedom of nonduality in Marking Twelve.
